Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television host in America as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark hairstyle and her pumped up personality, provides easy techniques any person can master. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. After obtaining an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. She says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I was awed by every moment." I was unable to learn enough, didn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. When she was in Italy the chef developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine. It made a huge influence on her perception of food. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to improve the lives of kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of the dangers of childhood diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor she travels across the United States to discuss her love for cooking and professional career. Anne said she felt lucky that I could share her true passion with other people.
