Kellie Martin. Martin is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher and Lucy Knight on the series ER. Also, she is known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department store owner as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her career in acting in the age of seven when her aunt, who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children was able to help her get her a role in the 1982 series 'Father Murphy'. After graduating of Yale University, she took acting more seriously, and eventually landed substantial roles, both on the smaller and large screen. Martin as well as being an accomplished actress and dancer, is also a skilled ballet photographer. The mother of two daughters and a son, she is also the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness of the disease daily since the loss of her sister, who was the age of 19.
